This is a print from a painting from an artist living in France. She writes of herself: I was born in Germany in 1978 and moved to France in 1999. After some failed attempts to make a university career and become something serious, I finally ended up studying graphic design (e.c.v. Aix-en-Provence, Intuit/Lab, Paris). I finished my studies in 2004 and have been living and working as a freelance illustrator in Paris for three years. Recently I moved to the south of France, because my boyfriend has taken over a winery. So now I’m listening to the birds and bees while making things.
I’m not sure what that all means, but she sounds charming.
I can’t tell if a set of these guys would be horrifying or funny to a baby. From what I remember, though, my little brother would have probably thought these were great when he was a toddler. And I would totally hang these in my dining room.
